TwinType Cloud iOS Privacy Policy

Last Updated: May 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how TwinType Foundry LLC (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the TwinType Cloud iOS application and related services. We understand the importance of privacy and are committed to ensuring that your personal data is properly protected.

I. Interpretation and Definitions

II. Cloud Services, Authorization Verification, and Server Logs

To provide stable and secure font authorization services, TwinType Cloud iOS uses a cloud-based account and authorization verification architecture:

  1. Account Sign-In and Authorization Verification: When you sign in to the App, the system verifies your account, subscription status, and available font authorization to determine whether fonts may be installed and enabled on your device.
  2. Font Installation and Revocation Mechanism: When your account has a valid subscription, you may install fonts within the authorized scope on your iPhone or iPad. When you sign out, your subscription expires, is canceled, fails, or your authorization is terminated, the related authorization will stop and the fonts may be disabled, invalidated, or revoked.
  3. Server Logs: When you use the service, the server may automatically record technical information such as IP address, access time, device information, authorization verification results, and requested resources for system stability, anomaly detection, and technical troubleshooting.
  4. Cloud Infrastructure: The Company may use international cloud platforms, content delivery networks, or hosting services, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), to run services, verify authorization, and store necessary data.

III. Types of Data Collected and Purposes

  1. Account and Contact Data: Includes email address, sign-in identifiers, and account-related information used for sign-in verification, subscription management, customer support, and service notifications.
  2. Subscription and Authorization Data: Includes current subscription status, authorization availability, font activation records, and device association information used to determine whether fonts may be installed, used, or revoked.
  3. Usage and Diagnostic Data: Includes device model, operating system version, App version, error logs, and basic operational information used to improve stability, fix errors, and enhance user experience.
  4. De-identified Use: The above information may be used in de-identified or anonymized form for service analysis, performance optimization, and product improvement. The Company does not sell your personal information and does not send unrelated promotional content without consent.

IV. Font Installation and Local Data Processing

The primary purpose of TwinType Cloud iOS is to allow users to install and use fonts on iPhone or iPad during a valid authorization period.

The App may create necessary local data on the device related to font installation, authorization status, or usage settings in order to provide font activation, deactivation, synchronization, and authorization status update functions.

When you sign out of your account, or when your subscription becomes invalid, is canceled, expires, or is terminated, fonts associated with that authorization may be disabled, removed, or revoked.

V. Disclosure of Your Personal Data

The Company will not proactively provide, exchange, or sell your personal data to third parties unless:

  1. Legal Requirements and Judicial Authorities: Disclosure is required by competent authorities, courts, or judicial authorities in Taiwan, the United States, or other applicable jurisdictions in accordance with lawful process, and only within the necessary scope.
  2. Service Operations and Security: Disclosure is necessary to maintain account security, perform authorization verification, prevent abuse, investigate abnormal activity, protect the Company’s rights and interests, or take necessary legal action.
  3. Service Providers: If third-party cloud, analytics, customer support, payment, or infrastructure providers are engaged to process necessary data, we will exercise appropriate supervision and require them to process data only within the necessary scope and in compliance with security requirements.

VI. Data Security and Your Rights

VII. Children’s Privacy

This service is not primarily directed to children under the age of 13. If the Company discovers that personal data of a child has been collected without the consent of a parent or legal guardian, the Company will take reasonable steps to delete or stop processing such data.

  1. Right to Amend: The Company reserves the right to revise this Privacy Policy at any time. Revised content will be posted on this page or notified by other appropriate means.
